I am six months old and I believe beer is better than milk!

Kei and Wiebke shared their first baby child experience with us. Their baby boy named Jonas, pronounce as 'yo-nas'. The pictures were so funny and certainly made our day!

Which is bigger? Me or the cow?

Milk is bad for me :(

Hey, dad, gimme some beer or you'll lose your finger!

To Wiebke and Kei, great job, Jonas is so cute, wish you well and congratulations!

In search for the shape that represents my love

While i still enjoy making my cup of coffee, i managed to compile some of my favourite latte art. I believe now is the best time to make your own coffee at home because a few companies i know, has already cut down on their free coffee and milk supply for their employees. Which, to some people, who cannot wake up in the morning without coffee, are going to scream their heads off.

I can still remember frothing milk for the first few times when min han is by my side. She is the one who taught me how. Finish off with a heart shaped milk foam and that's another way of saying,"I love you".

My 29th Birthday

When your pictures are not that good and to avoid keeping them in your photo archive buried forever, make a short video out of them. To be accurate, it is called stop-motion photography. But in order to do that, you have to shoot lots of pictures. Lots and lots of them.

So I turn my 'not so good birthday pictures' into a short video. It is a simple get together dinner at home with home cooked Nasi Lemak. That is all i asked for.

Thank you Denise, Debbie, Roger, Ah Ling, Ah Bor and Florence darling. Now enjoy the video.

How to sew a bow tie on the fly

Bow ties are really difficult to find and there are expensive. Sometimes you cannot get the colour, material or the pattern that you want. So i decided to sew one myself. This is my first sewing project and i finally understand how a sewing machine works.

Make a template using a cardboard.

Draw the outline on the fabric that you are going to use. Do it on the 'wrong side' of the fabric.

Place 2 pieces of fabric with the 'right side' facing each other. Here, i use masking tape to hold them together. I am not good in using pins.

Make a duplicate.

Sew them together along the line using a sewing machine.

Cut out the edges leaving about 5mm gap from the sewing seam.

Turn them inside out. I use a knitting needle to push the end out.

Once it is done, they look like this, fluffy... dun worry, we will get rid of it.

Iron them and adjust its corner nicely, to reveal the bow tie shape.

Measure your own neck collar size. Here in this step, you will need to know to tie a bow tie in order for you to know how much length is required.

Cut and put one end into the other end. Sew them together by hand.

My very own bow tie.

Voila. I made it without using any interfacing. But my bow tie still look as good. It took me about 2 hours to make.

Spending time with IKEA furniture

We bought some furniture from IKEA. Assembling them wasn't difficult but time consuming. You need very strong hands or power tools to screw in the screws. Otherwise, you will take forever to screw them in.

It is a fun activity to do at home. Don't you think so?

My latte art

Check out the designs i have created with my Breville ESP4 Bar Italia Espresso Machine! It may not be the ultimate coffee machine that everyone wants but it can make me a nice cup of coffee without much hassle. This makes my day!

All i need is practice, practice and practice. For every design that i had made, i can't repeat the same design again. There are all experiments and accidents. That's a newbie talking... haha...

Moving house in style

Been a busy bee these past few weeks as min han found a new place to move in. Yes, money spent, energy used, time taken... real headache. When packing up her things, i was like,"Awwww, we are not going to finish all these in a week. We need more time."

We plan to shift all the things as soon as we can and try to do it in a week's time. By looking at the huge amount of her things, i can judge how long she has spent living in Melbourne. Already past 5 years, man!

The living room and a bit of the kitchen.

The best thing of all, we used a mercedes-benz R class to move all the things. To me, is not a car, it is a tank!
